Man Transported Smuggled Cigarettes – and was Captured by Barabás Police Officers

The police handed over the driver and the tobacco to the staff of the National Tax and Customs Board responsible for conducting the procedure.

 

On December 14th, 2020, the patrols of the Barabás Border Police Office checked a man in a car in Lónya. During the search of the vehicle, the police found a large number of cigarettes, a total of 10,000 boxes without Hungarian tax and stamps.

The 36-year-old man from Lónya and the tobacco product worth seventeen million forints were handed over to the staff of the National Tax and Customs Office responsible for conducting the procedure, the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Police Headquarters reported.
