More than 18 million forints (EUR 50,000) worth of cigarettes without Hungarian tax and excise stickers have been seized from a Ukrainian man near Tiszaadony in northeast Hungary, the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County police said on police.hu on Sunday.
The man aged 46 was travelling by car when he was stopped by police for a road check, the website said. The man and the smuggled cigarettes have been handed over to the national tax and excise office.
